3oun Takes First Place in Seedstars Amman

Seedstars World, the global seed-stage startup competition closed on its Jordan round during Seedstars Amman. The competition took place this Monday at BIG powered by Orange, and 10 selected startups were invited to present their ideas in front of the local jury panel. The event attracted interest from over 40 startups, and over 60 event participants.

Who are the winners?
The local winner, 3oun, an on-demand mobile application that connects users with vetted handymen around them, was selected the best startup in Jordan for its innovative solution.

Repzo, the ultimate field force app where employees can input their activities for managers to monitor from their mobile device, came second.

Audiogram, an app that allows users to specify their interests, follow their favorite publishers, and enjoy relevant audio content with every call, grabbed the last spot in the top 3.

What is the winner’s prize?
3oun gets to bring home with them a gleaming trophy. They will be participating at Seedstars Summit, taking place in Switzerland in April 2018, a weeklong training program with the opportunity to meet the other 80 winners, as well as investors and mentors from around the world.

The final day of the Summit will be dedicated to pitching in front of audience of 1000 attendees, with the possibility of winning up to the USD 1 million equity investment

Who are the supporters?
The event was co-organized with Seedstars World’s local partner Orange Jordan.  Further support was provided by local organizer Oasis500, media partners Wamda and ArabNet, and Aramex who provided the winning startup with support in the form of an in-kind prize.
