Applications Now Open for Savour’s Spring Cohort
Food-focused startups listen up! Applications for Savour’s Spring 2018 Cohort are now open.
Launched earlier this year and powered by the Creative Startups Accelerator curriculum, Savour is an 8-week program and the Middle East’s first food vertical accelerator. Based in Kuwait, the accelerator partners with early stage companies from any part of the food supply chain including: farming, ag-tech, food distribution, retail, wellness, consumer-packaged goods, food-related apps, and green/clean tech. The aim is to help food entrepreneurs and food startups bring their products and services to market at super speed.
The Spring Cohort will run from March 18th to May 10th. Startups will receive up to $100K in capital, complete learning modules designed by Stanford educators, work closely with trusted mentors, and have access to a network of leading food companies as well as over 80 startup founders.
This cohort, Savour will be accepting revenue generating startups that are in the product market fit stage from across the MENA region, and will increase the number of startups accepted from 5 startups to 6-8. Selected teams will relocat to Savour’s coworking space in Kuwait, go through 2 months of testing, validating and accelerating their business before finally pitching their business to Savour’s co-investor network on Demo Day.
Savour’s alumni from their first cohort include Pantry Bee (Kuwait), Solo Tacos (Kuwait), Tabb (Kuwait), Eila (Jordan). The accelerator aims to fund up to 12 startups per year, in exchange for 10-20% equity.
