Apply to the Ideathon & Startup Demo Competitions in Kuwait!

Do you have a mobile/web idea and want to turn it into a product? You now have an opportunity to make it happen! Two competitions, the Ideathon competition and the StartUp Demo competition will be held at ArabNet Kuwait this October.


The Ideathon competition aims to promote innovation and entrepreneurship at its earliest stage: turning bright ideas into functional products. This contest links the best regional entrepreneurs with creative ideas to investors and digital professionals. To be eligible, your idea has to be related to web and mobile, and should not be a functional startup. The deadline to apply is 24th of August so hurry up before it’s too late! StartUp Demo

The StartUp Demo competition aims to support early stage startups from across the region and help them grow their businesses. The StartUp Demo will showcase the best of regional startups to a crowd of investors and digital professionals. To be eligible, the startup should be less than 2 years since it was founded, with less than 10 employees, and less than $1M in investment. Most importantly, it must be functional before the competition deadline, and must be a web or mobile application. Submit for a chance to pitch on-stage at ArabNet Kuwait 2016 before August 24th! ArabNet Kuwait

On October 4th and 5th, ArabNet is headed to Kuwait for the first time. A 2-day conference will take place and will focus on the Kuwaiti and GCC market, emphasizing on startups, opportunities, local trends, and rising stars.

The 2-day conference will consist of the TechFair, an exhibition area for leading digital companies and rising startups to connect, in addition to a full day of keynotes and panels covering digital media topics focused on technology in media and advertising influencers, brands and new age marketing; eBusiness topics will cover mobile enterprise, digital banking, and the state of ecommerce in Kuwait, topics that will be also discussed related to technology are the latest hardware technology and innovations, retail mobile platforms, and gaming, in addition to the landscape of entrepreneurs’ supporters in Kuwait.

ArabNet Kuwait will also hold a full day of workshops and discussions on parallel tracks dedicated to entrepreneurs and marketers. The workshops focus on building skills and expertise in addition to delving into the latest and hottest topics in media & entrepreneurship with market leaders.
