ArabNet Startup Championship: Rise From Local to Global

ArabNet Team, Oct 26 2016

As ArabNet constantly aims to build business bridges across the MENA, and shed light on the region’s hottest startups with the most potential, the renowned Startup Demo has been upgraded. The competition is now called Startup Battle and provides winners the chance to also compete on a regional level. The participating cities for 2016-2017 are: Beirut, Kuwait, Riyadh, Cairo, Casablanca, and Dubai.

How it works:

Apply to Startup Battle
If you have a digital startup that’s less than 2 years old, that is functional prior to the competition’s deadline, with no more than 30 employees, and have not secured $2million in investment, then you are eligible to apply.

Pitch Locally
10 finalists will have the opportunity to locally pitch on stage to a panel of high caliber judges in front of an audience of investors, media, and entrepreneurs. All 10 finalists will receive a free booth at the local conference, 2 free event passes, pitch training, and ArabNet Alumni program membership.

Compete Regionally
Three country winners from each Startup Battle will be flown to Dubai with accommodation for ArabNet Digital Summit 2017, where they will get to compete at the Startup Championship and assert their startups among the best in the region. They will also receive a booth at the Summit where they will be exposed to world-class investors and international media, and have access to the Matchup sessions.

The Startup Championship winner will receive $20,000, along with an acceleration scholarship in Silicon Valley and in-kind prizes from partners.

You can now apply for Startup Battle Riyadh taking place from December 12th until 14th at the Four Seasons.

Hurry up, the application deadline is on November 1st
