Meet the 6 Startups at The Nucleus

Yesterday, The Nucleus - a 3-month acceleration program by the UK Lebanon Tech Hub (UKLTH)  announced the 6 selected companies that will undergo the program. The results were announced at a special event on the rooftop of BDD in the presence of H.E. Nicolas Sehnaoui, HMA Hugo Shorter, and Ms. Marianne Howayek. 

20 potential companies of the 176 who applied to the program went through a 1-week product development workshop. They were then narrowed down to the final 6 startups who will benefit from an investment of US$20,000 in cash and US$30,000 in services, in return for UKLTH taking up to a 5% equity stake in the business. At the event, the Chairman of the UKLTH, H.E Nicolas Sehnaoui, also announced that the Central Bank of Lebanon is matching the funding from the UK Embassy of $3.2M increasing UKLTH's total funding to $6.4 million.  

Meet the 6 Selected Startups: 

Dox
A predictive maintenance algorithm that monitors battery performance in real-time whilst providing predictive key metrics.

Handiss
A platform that centralizes freelancing in the construction market for independent engineers and architects.

ImagineMe
An online publishing company that uses Augmented Reality to create personalized children's book where the children become the star of their own stories.

Jaleesa
A tech-driven startup that connects families with trusted child carers.

LGALX
An online platform that enables access to legal answers and services using artificial intelligence and blockchain technology to increase efficiency.

Notifer
An icon based app that creates actionable reminders assisting you to boost your memory and power your productivity.
