Second Edition of Agrytech Hackathon Coming Soon!

Mark your calendars and challenge yourself to a weekend of innovating solutions for the agri-food industry.

Berytech has launched the second edition of its Agrytech Hackathon, taking place on the weekend of April 20, 21 and 22, 2018 at Berytech Innovation Park in Mar Roukoz, Mkalles.

Part of the Agrytech Accelerator Program, the hackathon is an engaging and challenging experience that takes place over 3 days. Participants from various backgrounds in engingeering, computer science, software development, design, science, and business will meet and collaborate to come up with innovative solutions for real-life challenges that are facing the agriculture and food industry in Lebanon and the region. 

This year, Berytech has partnered with Farm Hack and Source Institute whose international experts will be available throughout the 54 hours to provide participants with mentorship across all solutions in the food value chain.

Participants will be given exclusive acces to the Berytech FabLab to create prototypes of their innovations, and resources will include industry-grade technology, facilities with a wide range of machines and equipment, educational workshops, mentorship for prototyping and digital fabrication.

First and second place winning teams will receive cash prizes of $6.5K and $4.5K respectively and direct access to the Agrytech Accelerator program - where they will have the opportunity to receive $40K in grants and 12 months of incubation valued at $60K.
