Startup Istanbul Announces Top 3 Winners

Startup Istanbul, the leading startup event which brings together founders, investors and executives in the region, announced the winners. The event took place at the Volkswagen Arena in Istanbul on October 10th, where 15 finalists had the opportunity to present their ideas in front of a jury panel.

The event attracted over 4,000 attendees and brought together leading startups, internet companies, business angels and venture capitalists from Asia and Europe. The winners get recognition for winning the challenge between Europe, Asia and MENA.

2,700 startups applied to be a part of the event: after filling out online forms and 2 interview calls, 100 of those startups were selected. They were invited to the event that started on October 6-7thand received 2 full days of training with the best mentors.

On October 8th, 50 selected startups pitched to investors and 15 were selected for finals to pitch on stage on October 10th in front of 5000 people.

The first place winner, CashBasha, is a shopping platform where customers can shop at ease. Customers from the MENA region can also shop from foreign countries, have them delivered at their door, and pay cash on delivery.

InnoveraLabs, in second place, builds A.T.A.R. to automate defenses against cyber-attacks.

In third place, Pobuca, is a mobile-first contact management with focus on sharing contact information between co-workers.

Some of the finalists were: FigPii, the first all-in-one growth hacking platform. MASS Analytics measures the performance of companies marketing mix and understand their efficiency and return on investment. is the platform for all healthcare needs. They connect their patients with the right doctors. SkyCryptor is a platform you can secure your business on. Treble is a platform where you can share your experience through crowd-sourced music videos. Urbanhire is an online platform for jobseekers.
