The Impact Will Launch in Beirut!

Entrepreneurship with Impact Ventures (EwIV) and Ahead of the Curve (ATC), an impact business dedicated to the promotion of sustainable management practice, inclusive market growth and social innovation, have developed and launched an entrepreneurship training program in the region called THE IMPACT. The program is expected to launch in Beirut from the 23rd until the 27th of November at Makhzoumi Foundation. It will bring together 30 impact entrepreneurs, who will be inspired to think outside the box to successfully develop and implement their ideas for social change focusing on Lebanon’s societal challenges; Refugees, Energy Shortages and Waste Management. Additionally, the winner will win a one week acceleration program at the IE Business School in Madrid.

THE IMPACT Program is a 5-day boot camp that has been designed for entrepreneurs who want to have a lasting impact on society through their business. The camp is based on design thinking, creative leadership and using practical business tools. The training pedagogy makes use of an experiential learning approach mixed with exposure to expert guest speakers.  Each boot camp encompasses 30-35 potential impact entrepreneurs, who are empowered to enhance their business models, have a growth plan for how to scale. Also, develop engaging pitches, meet like-minded fellow entrepreneurs and experts, as well as collaborate with others to create better businesses.

Since the launch in 2015, The IMPACT Training Program has a proven track record in four Arab countries including Egypt, the UAE, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia; graduated over 125 entrepreneurs thus far, providing them with the learning and tools to effectively implement and scale their ideas for social change.

Lebanon like most of the countries in the region, has witnessed a definite trend towards impact driven entrepreneurship with engaged citizens keen to find sustainable solutions to widespread societal challenges, obstacles nevertheless abound. Therefore, EwIV and RIBH MENA along with the program’s strategic partners have all combined to implement a cutting-edge boot camp to enable entrepreneurs in Lebanon create innovative and sustainable impact-driven businesses, as well as develop the local ecosystem for business with a social impact.
