What to Expect from ArabNet’s Digital Summit this May?

ArabNet is rolling up its sleeves for the upcoming Digital Summit that will be held in Dubai on May 16-17. 

The 2-day conference will include four forums during which subjects related to media and marketing, ecommerce, financial technology, big data, digital business transformation –among many others- will be thoroughly explored.

Innovation & Investment – On Accelerators and Funds (May 17)
Massive amounts of cash are flowing into the digital startup space, with new initiatives, accelerators and funds launching almost on a weekly basis
The forum will highlight a full track for investors, with high-level discussions that include LPs, private equity investors and family offices. It will also feature a full track to help corporates understand how they can invest in or collaborate with startups to stay ahead of disruption.

A Global-Scale Competition
The Startup Championship will join together the winning startups from previous Startup Battles, and place them on a wider competitive plateau – rising from local to global.

18 startups from Beirut, Kuwait, Riyadh, Cairo, Casablanca, and Dubai will be pitching their business model to a panel of judges and a large audience of investors, entrepreneurs, leaders, etc.

The winner will receive a $20,000 check, and an acceleration scholarship in Sillicon Valley, along with other in-kind prizes from partners.

A tech get-together
Accompanying the Summit this year, the Techfair will bring together leading tech companies from across the world – they’ll be uncovering the latest tech trends, recently released apps, and the newest technologies out there!

A Showcase Space to Connect
Think of it as a gathering of young digital startups in the MENA -- the digital showcase will group startups who have developed a proven business model and a structured product in one space. They’ll be exposed to incredible networking opportunities with strategic partners in Dubai.
